Storing data in the cloud is all well and good, but most data needs to be encrypted for this to be useful.

It is suggested that we enhance the OpenCredo Cloud Storage library to add support for encryption and decryption.

This implementation of data-level security should be pluggable with a public API so as to support different vendors providing bindings.

I am changing this to an investigative POC the output of which will be a proposal on how this might be achieved. This is too big a task with too many uncertainties over technologies to support etc to start developing this straight off.
